Find the Perfect Caribbean Family Vacation at Beaches Turks And Caicos Resort Villages And Spa

Kids at Beaches Turks and Caicos

It only seems fitting that the name of the resort we recently vacationed at would also be the thing that stuck with me the most during and after our trip – BEACHES! Located on a gorgeous stretch of white sand beach (Grace Bay) on the island of Providenciales (PLS), Beaches Turks & Caicos is a luxury all-inclusive resort that provided us with more options than we could have ever imagined. Beaches Turks & Caicos was just named in the World’s Best Hotels for Families by Travel & Leisure, and having experienced it first-hand I couldn’t agree more. Read more »

Get treated like Royalty at The El Dorado Maroma resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico

El Dorado Maroma Pool

My most recent travel adventure brought me to Mexico, where I stayed at the upscale El Dorado Maroma, an adults only resort situated on Maroma beach in Riviera Maya.

Maroma beach is consistently rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Travel Channel describes it as “quite possibly the most exquisite secret in Mexico.” I have had the opportunity to visit the beaches of Riviera Maya numerous times and I was truly amazed at the beauty of Maroma beach. The sand was exceptionally soft with a beautiful bright white color and the water was calm with light turquoise tones. This beach is simply breathtaking. Read more »

5 Days in Aruba Feels Like “Home” at the Westin Aruba Resort

Arikok National Park

Bonbini! That’s Papiamento for “Welcome” in Aruba. This is the Aruban way to welcome everyone to their warm and friendly island.

And friendly it is! From the minute you step off the airplane you are greeted with smiles, warm weather, cool trade winds, white-sand beaches that go on forever, and just a general overall feeling that makes you smile and think, “I’m home.” I’ve traveled to Aruba a few times for work, but this time I took a few days for vacation with my family. I hope reading about our trip will spark your interest in this great island.

The IBEROSTAR Paraiso Maya in Riviera Maya Offers a Colorful Respite From Winter Gray

Iberostar Paraiso Maya Beach

I needed to get away from the gray Midwest winter palette and see to the bright colors of Mexico — even if it was just for a short jaunt to the Riviera Maya and the IBEROSTAR Paraiso Maya.

My husband and I selected the IBEROSTAR Paraiso Maya for two specific reasons: 1) It’s located 30 minutes from the Cancun airport so we could get started on our vacation ASAP, and 2) It’s an all-inclusive resort so we could pack as much fun and relaxation into our short vacation to Mexico without having to travel a lot. The Love Lock Bridge, and Four Other Must-Dos on a Girls Trip to Paris

Girls Trip to Paris

My friend Emily is getting married, but decided she wanted to have a “bachelorette vacation” to Paris instead of a bachelorette party. I never say no to a vacation, so imagine my delight when she asked me to join her! I had been to Paris once before (backpacking and staying in hostels) so I was very excited to see Paris again, but in a more classy way. Read more »

I’m going to dive right in to what happened next on my Oahu, Hawaii, adventure!

We had also heard that it’s best to climb Diamond Head in the morning, while the temperatures are still cool, so that’s what we planned for. Read more »

10 Interesting Facts about the 2012 Summer Olympics

640px-London_Bridge_with_Olympic_rings_2012_featured

The Olympic torch has arrived in London, nearing the completion of it’s 70 day relay- meaning the opening ceremony is almost here. I, for one, am beyond excited about the impending summer games.

While I will fully admit that this may be due to the fact that David Beckham had the honor of bringing the Olympic flame to England (seriously, could he get any cuter?!), but it could also be because the last summer Olympics seem like they happened a lifetime ago. Read more »

The Very Best of Amsterdam

amstedam-featured

Summer is that time of year when Europe’s weather is perfect for travel, especially in Holland! One great city that is perfect for travel is Amsterdam.

The most memorable part of our trip to Amsterdam is the Dutch way of life- easy going, common sense respect, and friendly. There is so much to do and see in Amsterdam, from great art museums to architectural sights, canal rides, theaters and markets. We were just not able to pack it all in on our short visit, but here is what I consider to be the very best of Amsterdam. Read more »
