I’ve been to Walt Disney World® Resort many times, and the vacations I enjoy the most, are when my whole family travels together. There are 7 of us – my parents, my brother and his family of 4, and myself. We love to travel, but sometimes it is a bit challenging with a larger group. We often need to rent more than one car and stay in two separate hotel rooms. This is not the case when we go to Walt Disney World. They have everything covered from the moment we land in Orlando – from the complimentary Disney’s Magical Express airport transfer service to the family friendly accommodations, we are always well taken care of.
My favorite stay at Walt Disney World was when we all stayed together in a 2-bedroom villa at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The villa was beautiful and very practical for us. It had two bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a living room with a sleeping area, a kitchen, and even a washer and dryer. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, but also a great common area where we could eat a quick meal before we headed to the parks or play a few games at night.
There are many resorts within Walt Disney World Resort that offer suites – studios, 1 and 2-bedroom villas – that are great for larger families or families that just want a little more space. There is Disney’s Wildness Lodge of course, but also the Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney’s Boardwalk Villas, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Old Key West Resort.
Another great option for families looking for a little more room is to stay at a select value resort that offer Family Suites. These suites sleep up to 6 and have a kitchenette, living room and 2 bathrooms. The Family Suites are currently offered at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort as well at the newest resort on property, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.
My last tip for people that are looking for more space is to stay at one of the original Walt Disney World Resort properties. The rooms that I have seen at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Resort are just a bit larger than standard rooms.
No matter where you stay at Walt Disney World Resort, you are going to have a great time with your friends and family, but sometimes, it is nice just to have a little extra space.
