You know that sad moment when you realize vacation is over? For some it’s when they leave their resort or when they get home, but for me, it’s when I go to the airport. I’m always looking for a way to try and “extend” my vacation and I found the PERFECT place to do that. I was recently in Montego Bay, Jamaica, when I was given the opportunity to check out the brand new Club MoBay Departure Lounge. (For more info, click the link and look under the “activities + more” tab.) Let me say, this was a great way to end my vacation!
I went to the airport as usual, got my boarding pass, then I looked for the Club MoBay booth to check in (next to passport control). Little did I know that part of going to this VIP lounge was that I could get escorted via a fast-track section through passport control and security! That alone made me feel like a VIP, and I have to say, I loved watching the looks on people’s faces when we got to zoom right past them! We then continued through the airport to a large entrance for “Club MoBay Departure Lounge.”
I have to be honest and say I didn’t really expect a whole lot, but I was blown away when we got in. Club MoBay is HUGE; I believe I was told it is 10,000 square feet! They have comfortable sitting areas with large TVs, a premium bar w/complimentary drinks and snacks, business facilities, free WiFi, separate kids’ play area, iPads for teens, shower facilities, secure luggage check, and lots of local art work. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the spa! Yes, there is even a spa in there! How nice would it be to wind down your vacation with a massage? The spa does come at an extra cost but I found the prices to be very reasonable.
Once it is time for you to leave, someone from Club MoBay will escort you to your gate. It is truly a wonderful experience and I couldn’t think of a better way to end my vacation. So if you want to continue getting pampered and continue that first-class experience after leaving your resort in Jamaica, I highly recommend checking out Club MoBay Departure Lounge!
