This Week The Wedding Guys join us live from the Royal Wedding! ^Sean
We’ve arrived in London to cover the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton!
So what secrets have we discovered so far in London while preparing for the big day?
- 1. Wedding formal wear for men
-
If you are in need of wedding formal wear, the place to go is Neal & Palmer in the Piccadilly Arcade where you will find the most fabulous attire for men.
- 2. Outrageously large hats
-
If you are looking for women’s attire for the wedding, hats are a must and Condici is THE place to get one. Remember the bigger the hat the more fab!
- 3. Plan your own royal wedding
-
If you want to plan the most Royal Wedding for yourself with all the splendor, the Banquet House at Whitehall Palace is your place. Owned by the Queen, not only will you be amazed by the ceiling’s painted masterpiece but you will also see an actual edifice and the Queens throne. Each palace owned by the Queen has an edifice and throne to show her ownership of the palace. Of course the throne is removed for wedding functions and the edifice is off limits for groups to be photographed on it in respect to the Queen.
Kensington Hotel
Our schedule is packed running from one interview to the next gearing up for the big day but we’ve found a quiet and calming place to retreat at the Kensington Hotel in South Kensington.
Each morning we review our schedule for the interviews ahead, while having a beautiful continental breakfast which we think is more of a breakfast buffet with so many options of breakfast meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, stewed fruits, porridge, pastries coffee and of course English Breakfast Tea, milk and two sugars, please.
The hotel is one of the finest and most hospitable hotels we’ve experienced. The sense of arrival is greeted by well appointed doormen, concierge and front desk staff. The bedrooms and suites are well placed offering boutique style individuality with designer elements, contemporary in style with a nod to traditional luxurious feel.
From spacious to gracious, the bedrooms are a personal retreat I call heaven. Quiet and calming the bedrooms beckon you for a cup of relaxing tea while enjoying today’s events on the BBC. The bathrooms are sleek and lovely, wait until you place your feet on the warm heated floors! The lounge areas would be considered a comfortable side of tradition mixed with modern elements of today.
Also, the multi-million pound refurbishing allows the hotel to be an intimate taste of gracious townhouse living with a hint of modern technology. If you forgot your power adapter, just plug into the “American” outlet by the TV to work on your computer or charge your phone.
