Barcelo Palace Deluxe Los Cabos

Barcelo Palace Deluxe Los Cabos

I just got back from a Los Cabos vacation and talk about timing, my husband and I left just ahead of the snow that dumped on our home in Eden Prairie, MN.

When we arrived in Los Cabos at the airport we had been warned about the time share salespeople inundating people after they picked up their luggage. We were told to go out the far right hand door, go outside and look for the transfer company staff wearing their dark green shirts. The craziness inside the airport is similar to what we’ve found in Cancun airport so we’ve been through this before. We just politely said no thank you and walked on by. The airport transfer staff was right where they were supposed to be and we were efficiently whisked away directly to our hotel. Paying for the direct nonstop transfer is really worth it since we got to our hotel in about 15 minutes.

We stayed 3 nights at the Barcelo Palace Deluxe Los Cabos. What a great hotel with fun surprises throughout. When we checked in we qualified for the All Inclusive Plus that is exclusive to Delta Vacations. This was a great benefit since it allowed us to make advance reservations in all of the a la carte restaurants rather than be limited to one a la carte restaurant for our 3 night stay. When we got to the room, another great surprise was the Smart TV which managed everything in the room from free internet access to automatically opening and closing the curtains with a mouse click. Having the internet access allowed me to handle a few personal and business items from the comfort and privacy of my room at MY convenience.

For dinner on our first night we went to “Bon Vivant,” the French Restaurant. My husband is a foodie and he couldn’t say enough positive things about the restaurant and service. He and the Maitre’d became fast friends.

The next morning we walked the beach for miles. The Barcelo hotel sits right on a very wide, very long stretch of beach which was great. We walked past fisherman, fishing directly from the beach, the vendors were all very polite and accepted a “no thank you” very nicely. After our walk we spent the day in the pool. Met some great people from British Columbia and from Ohio. Lots of fun.

That night we had reservations at “Lotus,” the Japanese Restaurant. We enjoyed the show cooking with two of our new friends that we had met in the pool during the day. Another couple who we met at the pool, went to dinner at the French Restaurant and got engaged over dinner. We all gathered after dinner to celebrate.

We had a fairly low key day the next day by the adults pool. Dinner was at “Capri,” the Italian Restaurant. Another great meal and almost impossible to do the service was even better than the first night. Even with a large group also at the restaurant. I think our timing was perfect though since we got our orders in just before the large group.

I would definitely recommend the Barcelo Palace Los Cabos. We had a great time and would definitely go back for another stay.
